They\ngrow at the very back of a person&#8217;s mouth. There are normally four wisdom teeth\nin total, with one in each of the furthest corners of the top and bottom gums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Symptoms of wisdom teeth infection<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Red\n     or swollen gums<\/li><li>Tender\n     or bleeding gums<\/li><li>Jaw\n     pain<\/li><li>Swelling\n     around the jaw<\/li><li>Bad\n     breath<\/li><li>An\n     unpleasant taste in your mouth<\/li><li>Difficulty\n     opening your mouth<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prevention<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can&#8217;t\nkeep an impaction from occurring, but keeping regular six-month dental\nappointments for cleaning and checkups enables your dentist to monitor the\ngrowth and emergence of your wisdom teeth. Regularly updated dental X-rays may\nindicate impacted wisdom teeth\nbefore any symptoms develop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Treatment for wisdom teeth infection<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Infections\ncaused by wisdom teeth can be treated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>by\n     improving oral hygiene\n     in the area<\/li><li>by\n     having the area cleaned by a dentist<\/li><li>sometimes,\n     by the prescription of antibiotics&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\n\nHowever, the infection may keep coming back if\nproblem teeth are not removed.
